Layout: A Perfect Day

In attempts to use every last scrap from my June Scraptastic Summer Nights kit, I created this layout. I had used most of the patterned paper in the kit so I grabbed the 3x4 cards and some of the other embellishments and created some simple layers.

How do you stretch your supplies?

Layout: Totally Cute (Throwback Thursday!)

I made this layout in May, right before Millie’s vocabulary really exploded! It is already outdated because she is learning about 2-3 new words EVERY SINGLE DAY! I can hardly keep up.
Somedays I just want to freeze time, but most days I relish in all of the new developments and love the little being she is becoming!

Layout: Nom!

This was a super quick layout for me and I love documenting part of our everyday. I used some photos of recent meals and journaled a bit about how Wildtree products make dinner so simple for us!

Layout: Not Awesome (x3)

This layout was created after being inspired to comment on the sunburn sentiment on the 3x4 card. This year I had a suspicious mole removed and luckily it came back with clear results, but the impact has been great. I was at one time a sun-seeker, but now I hide from the sun.

I marked out the card and added some alpha stickers to alter the sentiment and added the word not before AWESOME on the other card.
I framed my scar with the frame and once again altered the diecut to say No Fun:

Layout: What I’m Loving Now

This layout came from a challenge to use a grid when editing photos. I created this while taking the BPC Art+Science class and this was one of the Left brain challenges.
For me, using a grid was a perfect way to capture some of the details of life right now that wouldn't necessarily require a full layout.

Layout: My Girl (Throwback Thursday!)

This is one of my new favorite layouts. I hand cut these mason jars over the course of an evening. Cutting paper is therapeutic for me!
I used this print of Amelia that was taken last summer (Photo by Pixels on Paper) journaled on several of the mason jars.

Wildtree Wednesday: Lemon Rosemary Green Beans

We had a pot luck at church on Sunday and I concocted this green bean dish to take. It was simple, quick, and tasty. I was pleased to see so many of the children of the church taking big scoops my green beans- they didn't last long at all and we very yummy!
Take 1 pound of green beans, wash and cut the ends off and place them in a microwave safe dish.
Add 1 Tbsp of butter (cut up) and 1tsp of Wildtree's Lemon Rosemary blend. When you are ready to cook- add 1 cup of water, cover, and microwave for 6-7 minutes. Drain the excess water and serve!!
You can toss the beans with extra seasoning/Grapeseed oil if you want after draining then, but it is not needed.
