Layout: Pick of the Patch

Yesterday we went to a Pumpkin Patch and I told Millie that she could have as many pumpkins as she could carry. Unfortunately she couldn’t really carry any of the pumpkins...so her Daddy helped her out and grabbed a pumpkin for her! She is developing such a fun personality- check out her face on the photo on the right!

Little bits of mist and splatter mixed with Jillibean Soup die cuts and enamel stars.

Those Simple Stories jack-o-lanterns are too cute and I love the alpha to bits!

If you enjoyed this layout, please go to You Tube and watch the process video!

Layout: Pumpkin Pickin'

I waited until the last minute to procure pumpkins last Halloween, but the in laws came to the rescue and we stopped at a pumpkin patch on our way home for looking at the fall leaves on the Parkway. In terms of cute photos, I’d say we NAILED IT! :)

Layout: Hooray Tap!

I love dance. I have loved dance since I was 9. I minored in dance in college and continue to teach dance. I am hoping to take an adult ballet class soon and reignite my passion for expressive movement and regain my creative outlet. I look forward to dancing with my daughter and cannot wait until we can take a Mommy and Me class together. She loves to dance already and knows how to pliè and bourrè turn already.

This layout is about tap. I was a late bloomer in tap. I had to quit a dance class in 5th grade because my math grade was poor and I lied to my mother about my math homework. I chose to quit tap instead of jazz. It wasn't until my senior year in high school that I decided I wanted to tap again. I auditioned for company and was placed in the Junior Precisionettes but was able to attend the Senior Precisionettes class as well. I did not compete with either class, but fulfilled my dream of dancing the opening and closing routines of the recital with my Senior Precisionette classmates.

I took a tap class in college. For fun.
And an adult class after college. And danced in a recital again. So fun!
My heart is full of dance.

Life In Details : Challenge #1

The first Life In Details challenge is to use the following items to create a 4x6 card:
* ribbon or washi tape

* flair
* bling
* chipboard or wood veneers
* 2 different patterned papers

Here is my card:

 I used items from a couple of Scraptastic This Life Noted (PL) kits to create my card. I love how quickly my spreads come together when I use the fabulous Scraptastic kits with exclusive cards and flair by Ormolu!

And my entire spread:

Lately I have been loving the WRMK 4x4 pocket pages as I can print 9 Instagram photos, slip them in, and call it a day! It speeds up the process and saves having to change the size of my IG photos.

How do you speed up the process of documenting everyday memories?

Layout: Summer Food

My first garden. What a learning curve! I have really enjoyed the start to finish process of growing my own food.

The Out on The Town kit and add on from Scraptastic Kit Cub have been fabulous for scrapping all sorts of summer pictures!

Project Millie's Life : June Week 1 / Week 36

This month I am determined to be up-to-date with Millie's album, and the Scraptastic A Day in the Life kit was just what I needed to get my bum in gear!

The numbered journaling card is color coordinated with the corresponding photo using matching sequins.

Love the stamp by Ormolu (exclusive to Scraptastic)- I see myself using it all the time!

Layout: So Much Sweetness

I have loved every scrap of my Scraptastic Kit Club Destination Unknown kit. This LilyBee Design paper is so lovely and the tiny hearts are just perfection on paper!

Layout: Three Special Pillows and You

This is another layout using the Destination Unknown kit from Scraptastic kit Club. I loved this kit!
The blog challenge that inspired this layout was the "Opposites Attract" challenge- I combined the neon sequins and softer colors and white to add the concept of opposites to this page.

Here you can see the fan-tab-u-lous After The Storm stamps up close.

Layout: Singin' In The Rain

Millie's first Merle Fest was a rainy one. Per usual, the weather was perfect on the festival days during the work week and rainy on the weekend when I could attend. Despite rain, Millie enjoyed a few hours of music, dancing, and free yogurt samples. (Boy, did she love those samples!)

I cut apart the Echo Park journaling card paper from my May Scraptastic kit and layered the cards to create the look of various patterned paper.

This layout was inspired by the Scraptastic Sketch Challenge on their blog. I used scraps from past kits and my stash. The twine is by Ormolu - I have had it for a while and LOVE the sparkle it adds.

Layout: Then There Was You

I have loved every bit of my May Scraptastic kit. I think within 48 hours of opening the kit I had 3 layouts and a card. There must have been some magic mojo dust in the box as well! This layout was inspired by the cut out card. I had used all but three cut outs on another layout and had the scraps on my desk. The journaling was then inspired by the title.

I addition to my kit, I added the Studio Calico arrows that came in a past kit, the After the Storm stamp set by Ormolu, some mist and the mistable Studio Calico stars.

Card: Hello

Another card created from scraps! As soon as saw this card with the balloons I knew it would make a sweet card. I embellished the front a bit with sequins, an October Afternoon journaling card, and a flair from Ormolu.

Layout: Little Swimmer

I completed this layout as a part of a little challenge my scrappy pals and I shared over the weekend. We all got on video chat and one person issued a 'recipe' of sorts to follow. I cheated. Kind of like substituting applesauce for butter or oil. Also like adding extra chocolate chips to pancakes. I like to be creative in the kitchen and rarely follow a recipe to a T.

In creating this layout I used pennants from my Scraptastic Kit, removing then from their stick and threading them onto some twine. I then added four different washi tapes to finish the banner. I really like the look of that banner and intend to try it again!
